Land Surveying in Thurgoona
Thurgoona's future land use is set out in a council plan, and dividing land into new lots is the kind of job that needs a survey plan. AlburyCity's Thurgoona Wirlinga Precinct Structure Plan 2025 sets the long-term strategic framework to guide future land use and development in the area, and the council says it identifies key actions such as future rezonings and infrastructure upgrades.

Land Surveying around Thurgoona
The council's page (read 7 October 2026) marks the 2025 plan as in force and says it builds on the 2013 Structure Plan. It says the plan outlines the vision for the precinct, including proposed land uses, urban design principles, infrastructure needs and environmental priorities. The council's flood page adds that the Thurgoona catchment contains part of the suburb of Thurgoona as well as the airport and undeveloped pastoral land.
None of these pages mentions a land survey for a given lot, so what follows is our inference, not a rule: if you are thinking of dividing land in Thurgoona, the council's steps on the subdividing page still apply, and a Plan of Subdivision - Survey Plan is among the documents for a Subdivision Certificate application. Tell the provider where the land is, ask what they check against the council's plan, and ask what the quote says if the council asks for more. The page does not say what any particular lot may be used for, and we state nothing about one.
